The world is getting increasingly aware of the need to limit the consumption of nonrenewable resources and the production of waste. This requirement is accomplished by development of recycling technologies. In this framework, recycling of the Used Lead-Acid Batteries (ULAB), containing metallic lead, lead compounds, electrolyte etc. is a correct way to put into effect these concepts. The ULAB treatment requires plants designed with a particular attention to the environmental issues and the reduction of emissions and other solid waste are the most important goals to be achieved for Total Recycling; Eco- Friendly Route of ULAB.
